This is all good to hear Norb.
Re: Features Patch?
Norb, thank you very much for this game. It is a most excellent brain exerciser. I am willing and able to assist in the beta testing phase of the new patch when you are ready.

Sorry. I suffer from a serious case of typosis. Don't worry, it's not contagious

Re: Features Patch?
Just too curious:
Can you explain how the orders on the map work? Do we have all orders like in 3D available? Do we also have orders like turn right/left available?
Does it work on the courier map too?

Shortest possible answer:
Movement only. No, no and yes.

Longer answer
It just gives you the ability to map a button or key to a new command. When you execute that command, it will pop up the map, you click on it where you want to go and it closes. It gives you the ability to plan on the map. One of the really cool features about it is that it shows destinations rather than current locations. So you see where everyone is going rather than where they are.

In advance, thanks for all you guys' hard work -- the whole team.
Is there anything in the new patch which will prevent TC'd regiments from running in column through enemy lines?

So basically you're asking if it's XNS-proof? I don't think they can child-proof the game.
No, but seriously, I think we'll have to be the ones to police gamey things on our own. I have no dobut that some of the changes will definitely help, but otherwise we'll have to be the ones with the yardsticks doing the knuckle rapping.

It's an awesome feature.

And no way to keep a TC'd regiment from running through a line. Once they are TC'd they are under your complete control.
