I was perusing the boards for Silent Hunter IV and V and I came across a thread talking about the upcoming Scourge of War debut featuring Gettysburg!
I am unable to contain my happiness about this. I have been a student of the battle since I was 8 (46 now) and make almost yearly trips back to Gettysburg to study the battle from every conceivable vantage. I have long wished for something like what I have seen here.... the ability to picture the battle from the point of view of the commanders on the field and with a unit scale smaller than brigade.
Rather than ask many questions, I will continue to read existing threads to find out more.
I do hope, however, that you developers will allow the simulation of a large portion of the battlefield at once. I also fervently hope that small, but crucial engagements like those around the Bliss farm are included. I have read that the game will be easily modded and if so, I will be working on that very engagement immediately after release if necessary.
Thank you for creating this and I hope it is a shining success.

So glad I found out about this...

Welcome COH!
Glad you could join us. We're getting close and are deep into that final phase of development. We'll all hate each other by the end
Our maps are pretty big. I do not think we have one that covers the entire battlefield. It may be something for one of our patches if enough people are making noise about it. We have 20 single player scenarios in our first release. We won't list them now, but they cover a wide array of the battles. We will be moddable so that any that we don't cover can be taken up by the community. But we'll also be adding more content as we go along. This isn't a ship it and forget it release. We're dedicated to this engine and plan to keep improving it and supporting it long after release.
