OK. This will be lengthy, but I am trying to correctly place each regiment into their proper places during every battle till G-Burg on the east side.

Question #1:
What they heck happened to the 4th Corps? I didn't just disappear. The 1st Division, 4th Corps, was taken during the Antietam Campaign and put with the 6th Corps, but I don't know what happened to the 2nd Division, does anyone?

Question #2:
Where did the old 1st Corps, Army of Virginia, and new 11th Corps, Army of the Potomac, go during the Antietam Campaign? I have found zero information on where it could be found.

Question #3:
Exactly where was the Reserve Grand Division at Fredericksburg? It included the 11th and 12th Corps, under Sigle, but where was it?

Question #4:
What happened to Evan's Independent Brigade, ANV? It seems to have disappeared after Antietam. No idea where it went.

Question #5:
Where did Ransom's Division go? I know it went to North Carolina, but I have no idea where from there. I looked in the Department of NC, but it isn't listed.

Question #6:
A lot of North Carolina regiments from D. H. Hill's division disappeared after Fredericksburg. Where did they go (I assume North Carolina, but why individual regiments, not a brigade)?

If I could get this information, that would be great!

I looked at oobs in the Book To the Gates of Richmond to look at the 4th Corps and then at the book Landscape Turned Red since after the 7 Days, Antietam was the AOTP next major engagement. I couldn't find any units in the 2nd Division 4th Corps in the muster rolls of Antietam, so I have no idea where they went.

From The Fredericksburg Campaign pg. 443 "A rumor circulated through the Army of the Potomac that Sigel's Reserve Grand Corps had arrived upriver to flank the Confederates while Burnside diverted Lee's attention. (Sigel's forces were en route to the army, but would not arrive at Stafford Court House for several more days)." This was on December 15th, 2 days after the battle; I don't know where they were coming from, but they weren't at the Battle.

I looked up the 17th South Carolina, one of Evans' regiments at Antietam, and found this link http://batsonsm.tripod.com/b/reg17.html; it's not the entire brigade but it may give a clue as to where the brigade was sent.

Evans Brigade was separated from Longstreet's Army in late 1862 and sent to eastern North Carolina to counter a raid on Kinston and Goldsboro. After this campaign, Evans was tried for intemperance during the Battle of Kinston but was acquitted. The brigade was sent to Charleston to recruit additional men, but was almost immediately sent to Mississippi to assist in the attempt to rescue Vicksburg. Upon the brigade's return to Charleston in the fall of 1863, Evans quarreled with his superior and was removed from command and tried for insubordination. He was acquitted but by this time Beauregard had lost confidence in him and refused to return him to command until the late spring of 1864. Evans was severly injured in a buggy accident in Charleston while preparing his brigade to leave to join the Petersburg Campaign. His brigade want north without him and subsequently suffered large losses when blown up at the Battle of the Crater

By General Orders No. 129, September 12, 1862, its designation was changed to that of the Eleventh, (from 1st Corps, AoV) a necessary change, as McDowell's command had resumed its original title of the First Army Corps. During General McClellan's Maryland campaign, and during the fall of 1862, the Eleventh Corps remained in Northern Virginia, in front of Washington, occupying various important outposts in the vicinity of Centreville.

4th Corps originally consisted of divisions of Couch, Smith, and Casey. On May 18, 1862 Smith's division joined 6th Corps. After the Seven Days battles, Couch's division joined 6th Corps. The Second division remained on the Pennisula and later to Suffolk, Va. The Fourth Corps was officially discontinued in August, 1862. The Second division later ended up with the 18th Corps.

My hometown regiment, the 104th Pennsylvania, was in that division. I am not sure if the brigades that were in Peck's Division on the penninsula stayed together. I know the 101st and 103rd PA were captured in mass at Plymouth later in the war and lost a lot of men at Andersonville. Here is the organizational history of the 104th that may give some insight:
