Man, if only I lived about five hours closer. Those battle walks sound very interesting, especially the Pickett's Charge walk. I love how they start at the same time/date as the actual engagements.

wonder what kinda crowds they're looking at with those tours.... couple dozen? or hundreds? there's gotta be a threshold where physical ability (or lack thereof) supercedes interest in the subject matter. if i lived closer, i'd try to walk each one... wonder how long i'd last...

Some of the battlewalks get hundreds of people. I've been on some of them. Usually very interesting. The Pennsylvania Cable Network has a recording crew along on the walks and broadcasts the battlewalks during the anniversary weekend. The PCN web page sells DVDs of the tours and you can view some previews of the battlewalk DVDs.
