Reorganized OOB
Reorganized OOB
I want to make a suggestion for Open Play.....or is it Sandbox? Either one.
In regards to OOB's. I really like how the OOB's in TC2M, are historical. But for Open Play, the Union OOB, at Corps level, is almost always a mismatch. I always use Reorganized, to make the match up more even, in troop numbers. I don't like when I've got a 40,000 man Corps, and spend 15mins or more, setting a defensive line, or working a long flanking manuver, to find out I'm up against a cavalry Corps that have barely 1/3 the numbers, or less.
For Open PLay, or Sandbox, it would be good if there was the option of a reorganized OOB, for Corps sized fights.
Or is that something you guys would rather leave for modders do?

We have already had discussions on this very topic. So far we have had one change, probably going to be more!! Don't worry, we have the same ideas that you have...we will get it right!!

Will it be possible to support more than one army in the OOBs with corps in them for each side. Like what happened at Chattanooga there were Hookers Corps and the Army of the Cumberland.

Do you mean to have more units in the GB OOB than what was already there? and are you refering to using them only in Sandbox? or selecting more (mix and match) than one choice of OOBs for a Sandbox scenario? If not, could you give a clearer concept as to how your question would apply in GB? It sounds interesting to me for possible dynamics to the new game, but how would it work? Will it be possible to support more than one army in the OOBs with corps in them for each side. Ok that diagram got a little messed up but what I am saying is is it possible to have two armies on one side with corps in it that wasn't avalible in tc

I don't think it'll be possible, but don't quote me on that. Maybe it could be modded, or one could get creative like in the last game and Army commanders will actually be Corps commanders, and Corpse will be Division commanders etc., etc..Ok that diagram got a little messed up but what I am saying is is it possible to have two armies on one side with corps in it that wasn't avalible in tc
