This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Map Utilities

Post by MarkT »

There use to be a section asking people if they wanted to make their own maps...
Well, I do that, but need a few of the utilities. Like Maptool.exe.
Reb, you have any idea where it is stored?

I'm not aware of Maptool.exe. For my limited map-work I'm just using the files in the NSDTools folder included in the Waterloo SDK release. Hopefully this new website will allow Crikey and Davinci to sign in again, and then they can possibly help you out finding map tools. I also miss the map help and expertise they provide. And where's Matt?

As far as I can remember I have never heard of or used a "Maptool.exe" when making the maps for the SOWGB game.

Question - did the Waterloo Maps - have or used this tool ?
The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!

Funny side note: it includes my tc2m_packer.exe inside the Utils folder!

Website blocked

Found maptool... it was TC2m Garnier. But the link to run requires "update". Site no longer available.
Have to redo for Norbsoft...
