Generals Archer and Pettigrew on the first tee

I've recently read on the Military History Online forum the Gettysburg Country Club is on the verge of bankruptcy and the NPS is thinking of buying the land. As many of you may already know, the country club is on the west side of Willoughby Run on the first day's field of battle. It would be a great acquisition for the park.
