Where has the time gone?

Wow...it's hard to believe it's been almost 2 months since the last screenshots.
You can get farther with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone.

I know that it's so easy to just be up to our necks in this game and forgetting that you guys don't see it every night. The issue is that right now we are making major changes to the program and now trying to get the performance back down. Everyone is waiting on me to get things right again. They are working on getting something out though, you can be sure of that.

Could you enlighten to us what the major changes are? Or, are you just getting caught up on what we already know? Seeing "major changes" makes my curiousity hungry. I'll check twitter for anything there.

You ask and you shall receive. I'll start working on some.

But Norb is right though, we've been very busy lately. :)

thing is, most of the progress is being made within the code as Norb has said, not in the maps... so taking more screenshots isn't going to show anything different really at this point, it's mostly in performance, which isn't easily portrayed in screenshots.

However, seeing new screenies is fun... it keeps our monthly dose of screenshots up! It would be like not having an icecream for desert, you don't need it, but it keeps you from going ballistic.

Have you guys seen zouaves yet? Or sharpshooters? If not, I'll make sure and include these in my new shots.

Any other particular areas of Gettysburg you would like to see?

SSs of entrenchments on Culp's Hill and of the different kinds of AARs, or unit training windows. Question? How would sharpshooters look differently from other infantry? comparitive SSs. and will there be Confederate (longrange) sharpshooters? If historically correct I'm not sure.

Entrenchments on Culp's Hill - There's actually a shot or two of those in the latest wallpaper. You can see the Iron Brigade behind the entrenchments, but I can post more if you like.

Different kind of AARs or unit training windows - I believe those are still in the works and if I posted some now, I'm sure they would be a lot different than the views that will be in the game.

Sharpshooters - There are different uniforms for the Union sharpshooters (not sure about CSA, I'll have to check). I've read about them/seen pictures before(the green colored uniforms) and they look awesome in the game.
