Gettysburg Trivia

In order to somewhat give this forum a kick-start, I've decided to try something out. Many of you from the old MMG Boards should be familiar with the Civil War Trivia, which is the idea behind this thread, the catch being the questions all being centered around the Gettysburg Campaign (for obvious reasons). Let's see how this holds...

As a starter, somewhat easy just to get people involved, 'What Union regiment fought at the wheat field behind a stone wall, sometimes fighting alone for periods of time before finally being pushed back?'

Oh God! You mean I actually have to ready my 6 Gettysburg book AGAIN to find the answer? Wasn't it a regiment in De Trombs Brigade (I'll look up the actually regiment later.

OK...What Federal brigade commander came back to the battlefield after the war and carved an "X" on the rock where he was wounded?

That's the guy. And the rock is just a stone's throw from the 17th Maine wall from the last question.
