SHILOH REDUX - Graphics Mod by Jolly

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Jolly - The above Picture shows that the units are standing in boot-height grass, except that the grass is sort of transparent.

Have you experimented with leaving the grass showing without too much of a FPS hit?

It might require reducing the draw-distance, but i have never tried it.

Thanks Davinci,

Yep, I'm still experimenting with the draw distances, trying to get a good balance.
I guess some compromises will be needed, I'll see how it pans out.

I think testing actually takes up more time than anything with all the continual loading, packing etc, but's it's all good fun! ;)

Cheers,

True!

It's sort of hard to pick one, but Modding seems to take a lot more time than actually Playing-The-Game!

Some more wip - a tricky one this. Everything changes everything on the terrain!
Getting there though!

Jolly - The latest Picture looks great!

But, the Infantry is what is standing out in your photo's, they appear a lot clearer to Me.

What Screen Resolution are you using?

EDIT Post : OK, Changed mine from 1440x900 to 1600x900 - The Game does look sharper: Why didn't I know that before now!

My res is 1920 x 1200 on a 24" monitor with a Geforce GTX 970 graphics card.

This is my monitors max res. The graphics card does support higher resolutions, but I'd need a bigger monitor to increase it!

Also, I'm using the Stock Uniform Replacement mod by Mark S. Tewes, which is just superb, I love the artillery especially!

Things have come on a long way! ;)

That would explain that, it makes the graphics really sharp!

That Credit would belong to "Pom"!
