I am playing Quatre bras with couriers and hits. I have ordered some artillery to advance but all they do is move a few yards and fire at a target i don't want them to fire at !!

Hi Tony, TC the battery commander. They are stopping and unlimbering because the battery commander is countermanding your orders because enemy units are coming within range of his guns, so hes stopping to engage them. TC the battery commander and the guns will follow you into hell itself.(Well, so long as you don't order them into enemy musket range)

Thank you Rob works like a dream. I'm really getting into this game. There is a similar game called histwar Napoleon but this is miles ahead.
