Cavalry moving and charging through the dense woods

Post by conjotter »

Hi.

During a game of Quatre Bras the French moved a cavalry brigade through the dense woods (Bois du Bossu), repeatedly charging allied infantry deployed deep in the woods.

In my view cavalry should become disrupted when it enters wooded terrain and should only be able to move through the woods in road column, if at all.

And I do not believe cavalry should be able to charge into or through the woods.

Perhaps the designers will consider making such a change to cavalry in a future patch.

Thanks, CJ.

Try the KS Mod, we fixed this aberrant and unrealistic behaviour long ago.
HITS & Couriers - a different and realistic way to play SoW MP.

to echo Conjotter's sentiments, it's frustrating to see your 'flank anchor' melt away or forced into squares due to cav running riot through forests in the retail game. Would love to see this addressed.

thanks!

totally agree, the most unrealistic behaviour in the game. If the KS MoD can fix it, then it should be simple enough to fix the base game.

You've got no chance of that happening. :(
