Game Clock

NSD Team

Woud you be able to tell us what the Game Clock times will be for scenarios in GB? from shortest to longest, perhaps the extended Game Clock feature. Also would points and casualties count in the extended play scenarios onto the AAR page?

The times are adjusted as part of beta testing so what we could say now is far from final. We are still working on the end of battle design so nothing is locked in. For 'winning the game' with the supplied scenarios, the scores will be taken from the standard length and/or score limits only.

For the future consideration of an entrenchment/breastwork rule, I was looking for how much time it would take to produce an entrenchment and still be effective in an scenario. So if we had 30 minute scenarios and it took 30 minutes to do an entrenchment then it might not be a factor in that scenario.

Have not found an article yet that describes how long it took to build an entrechment/breastwork at GB. Can get aricles on the entrenching tools and such, but not so much on technics, except that some ground was too hard to entrench due to diabase rock formations.

Try looking at it this way. There would be 2 kinds of entrenchments. Ones that are fixed and placed where they were for the historical scenarios. They would be laid out in a more organized manner. Secondly, the stationary troop bonus/entrenchments would not be illustrated on the map. It would be guys putting together whatever they could find in the general area to improve their cover. Just 300 guys gathering whatever was around them and stacking it up in front of them to improve their situation. Not nearly as effective as fixed entrenchments but but better than thin air.
