The attachment ToTheSoundoftheGuns.zip is no longer available
Today I was playing Chancellorsville - To The Sound of the Guns. I saved the game about half way through. When I returned to the game I completed with approx. 4700 battle points.
When the game ended the Tragedy screen came up saying I failed the mission. I believe the Major Victory is set to 3000.
I am unable to find the saved file from my midgame break. Please let me know where it is and I will post that also.

Earlier on, before your save, are you sure ME didn't get killed? You can continue to play after you get the Tragedy screen, but victory conditions are null and void no matter how many points you get from there on.

That is possible. I go back to me quite often, but if it transfered command I may not have noticed it. I will replay from that saved point and see if I died. Thanks, I'll let you know. In most other times ME has died the game ends, or so I thought. I'll check it.

If ME is not Major General Lafayette McLaws, then your, er, ME is dead. :side:
I've heard of rare glitches (simultaneous order or movement click, etc.) when ME is killed and the Tragedy screen doesn't appear, however, ME is always replaced by an unknown officer.
If ME is McLaws, then he died the final seconds of the end game time. If you have your auto save set up you can check this, and possibly save your Major Victory score unless you've played since.

Sorry to say but I did play more later and now all is lost for that game. Thank you for the assist and I will be more careful in the future to keep ME alive.
Thanks,
Cary
