Please check out this new thread just posted: https://www.norbsoftdev.net/index.php/k ... ions#79972

Even though the issue you reported is fixed now, you still may have some corrupted files due to reinstalling Waterloo incorrectly. Thanks for this post by alerting us to this ongoing issue. Hopefully the new thread will help folks reinstall Waterloo correctly, despite the Matrix oversight.

Expanded Toolbar IX - Grog ... Note name change from VIII

Update Version 9.5

Grog Toolbar Version 9.5 - March 27, 2023
- Re-structured into seven modular components, three modular layouts added to the 'Optional Toolbar Layouts' folder.
- All unit movement commands now display moving (animated) arrows representing speed and type of movement.
- Added animated effects to the following: Charge and Melee backgrounds, Friend Background, Target Blocked, Getting Flanked, Cam Follow, Limber/Unlimber, Ammo Low/Out, and Canister Low/Out.
- Replaced and rearranged numerous command buttons along with adding missing bugle calls and button click sounds.
- Redesigned the status and bonus icons for clarity and being able to recognize better when their function is activated.
- Added default column formations to all 'Road March' commands so there's no need to add an ending formation.
- Replaced the Zoom text command with a Spyglass graphic.

Previous Updates, released initially to the NSD Team for development purposes:

Grog Toolbar Version 9.12 - February 16, 2023
- Added animated Retreating and Routed graphics
- Sharpened buttons and adjusted some popup windows that distorted buttons
- Adjusted the location of the game speed up and resume (+ and -) commands
- Replaced the Flank/Oblique options button.

Grog Toolbar Version 9.1 - January 24, 2023
- Adds pause/resume commands when clicking the game clock
- New top banner added to the End Game screens
- Added game speed up and resume (+ and -) commands above the game clock
- The level6 charge commands now show a French or British flag when highlighted, making the charge commands unmistakable.

Grog Toolbar Version 9.0 - January 14, 2023
- Adjusts files providing compatibility with the mod Les Cent Jours due to issues created when that mod is disabled.
- Added eight background images to the 'Names' window representing the three army branches: Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery -- plus the Ammo Wagons, per each side.
- Added six background images to differentiate unit actions: split-skirmishers, retreats, melees and charges, and, four high fatigue images.
- Added three text graphics identifying unit actions and hiding disabled buttons: charges, retreats, and melees. The retreat command is still available on the charge and melee versions.
- Added 'Form Columns' to the 'UseRoads' command in the 'Destination' and 'March' Context Menus. 'March' was included for when the Command Map is used for unit movements, since the commander will be moving once the destination is selected.
- Added a new 'Form 19' 'line fight' formation that can move and holds its formation. It initiates once the 'Advance (when engaged)' command is selected. It will stay in that moveable line formation until given another formation.
- Made the '75 Wide' toolbar option the default toolbar, with the original 'Full Screen Width' toolbar still available as an easy option switch, along with other toolbar options (Optional Toolbar Layouts).
- Converted most in-game layouts from pixels to percentages
- Other misc. minor fixes and text adjustments

Correction:
In the 'Optional Toolbar Layouts' folder, the 'Info and Instructions' page has an error. The heading for listing the toolbar layout options should read: Seven optional toolbars

Hey Reb, so tonight was the first chance Ive had to take a look at the new toolbar, and I ran into alot of issues, especially with the formations.
There were so many issues actually that this would have been a very long post if I typed it all out manually.
So instead, I made you a video documenting the issues I was running into. Its not that long, only about 15 minutes or so. Hopefully you can find the time to check it out.

Edit: err the video isnt linking in the thread, so here the link and you can just copy/paste in your browser:
Edit 2: ok, now its linking lol

Hey Rob,

Well, watched your video and pretty much knew what the issue was from the beginning when I saw the 'Les Cent-Jours' splash screen appear on start up. After the video I ran the game several times with the Les Cent-Jours mod prioritized differently and I was able to recreate the issues you pointed out.

Simple fix ... in Modifications prioritize the grog toolbar below the Les Cent-Jours mod. You were seeing the Les Cent-Jours mod formations because you had it prioritized below the grog toolbar, while other formations were so incompatible they were crashing the game. The general rule of thumb with mod priorities is that the lowest activated mod rules, because the game reads the lowest mod's files last.

You asked about the other bonus and status icons, they're on the level 6 toolbars, battalions, squadrons, and cannon.

Good hearing from you, glad it didn't turn out to be damage control. Thanks for the kudos, your input and SOW video promos are unequaled.

Thank you Reb! That did it. I swapped the order and put the Grog toolbar at the bottom and now everything works. Now I can really dig into this toolbar tonight after work.
As always, you're the man.

I don't know if this was by design or not, when you give the run command you can't turn it of unless you cancel the current movement order. Before you just pressed the run command to turn it of.

Hey Roy, there's now a new button that appears called "walk" for this purpose. Reb had to add the new button because once you hit the double quick button the button turns into a scrolling indicator rather than a button. So the walk button was added to return to a walk without having to cancel the move order.
