How to move Commanders without moving their subordinate units.

I read the manual but I'm still having trouble moving Commanders - and only the Commander -- without moving their subordinate units. Thanks.

If you want to just move a commander, make sure you aren't giving any formation orders. For instance, just select the commander, then right on the ground where you want him to go, that's it. Anytime you give him a formation, he'll move his subordinates.

Note that if you use the command map ("N") a commander and all his subordinates are moved.
