Mods activation

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious... I've downloaded several mods to the game's MODS folder. They do not then appear in the game.
I have Windows 8.1 but the standard game is running fine. I just can't figure out why the downloaded mods are not showing up in the game at all.

Which mods? Are you sure they're unzipped?
Even an empty folder will show up when created or copied into the mods folder, so check on that. Name it anything but don't put a period in the name, this will make it not show up.
In the future please post any mod questions in the Modifications section.

Also, is this a brand new install, or have you had the game for a while? Sometimes the game can get installed in two different locations, ie C:\NorbSoftDev or C:\Matrix Games

Sure enough, I had a copy installed with a "Norbsoft" path and one with a "Matrix" path.
Situation corrected. Thanks!
