Mexico 1836 Mod Redux

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Mexico 1836 Mod Redux

Post by Crikey »

This is a new version of my earlier mod which includes new sprites (huge thanks to Pom), new sounds and other goodies.

The mod introduces Mexican and Texian forces using some of the base files provided by the Napoleonic Road to Wagram & Kriegspiel mods. You should delete any previous version of the Mexico mod.

UNLIKE EARLIER VESIONS THIS IS A STAND-ALONE MOD. YOU DO NOT NEED THE NAPOLEONIC MODS INSTALLED OR ACTIVATED. ALL THE FILES NEEDED ARE INCLUDED IN THIS MOD. It should not be activated/used with other mods, such as Wagram, Bleiheim etc, that amend the key csv files.

This mod used SR1 OOBs. You need to amend the sprite ratio in the main options screen to 1:1. Due to this, larger maps work best.
Uniforms should be set to best in the options menu.

Crikey Now that is a very good looking map!

I like how the units are marching ankle-deep through the creek...Excellent!

Hopefully, I can steal one of two of these units too mix with my rag-tag-units.

Keep up the great work!

Yes me too please. Some of those Texan boys would fit really well into a Trans Mississippi ACW army. Love the Red lancers as well.

Only just noticed that Crikey had released this.

Thanks for the comments,as for using any of the units, this is Crikey's mod, but I have no problem with it.

I've downloaded, unzipped, and placed in my MODS folder...activated the MOD (with nothing else activated), and start the game. I need to go to "single player", then "sandbox" to see the scenarios avail...but there's no "map option" to select, and when I start the game it defaults to whatever SOW map is highlighted? isn't there a map made for this? thanks...

Thanks for the comments. Pom's work on the sprites deserves all the praise. B)

If he's content then you can use whatever you like.

JVW - sorry there are no maps incl. Maybe later. ;)

Take your time, the map is looking very good!

Did you figure out a way of not having the water to disappear while rotating the camera?
