Toolbar Graphics

Can someone help with the following...
On the normal ACW toolbar you have two pictures which provide the back drop for the unit names - a Yank and Reb flag. These are located in the toolbar.dds at the top left hand corner.
On the Nap Toolbar you have the same picture for both sides.
I've changed this for an 1812 mod I'm working on. So I now have an American (US) and Brit (CSA) picture. Using the Brits in an SR1 OOB, once I get down to Comp level(Regt level) the American background portrait shows up for Brits.
Bit confused. Is this because the Brit toolbars in the GUI.csv have been set up a certain way and point to the US background portrait? Can I do anything to remedy this?
