Posting Pics

All,

Todays question is - are there different versions of how to post pics here? I've been using jpeg, which is ok, but, various colors wash out, smoke turns black, etc, and they generally look kind of crappy. Is there something else I can use? Thanks.

I think the smoke looks great! I thought you were using the dark powder mod.

You can also add images as .png or .gif

Actually the smoke DOES look good. It's the rest of the shot that sucks. The terrain goes all wonky, etc. I'll try the others and see. Thanks.

I don't see anything wrong with the image. The crops are turning transparent because the POV is so close to them. That might be the issue. I use the minimum distance for tree transparency in the game options which is 50yds I think.

The sky and trees in the background and the troop sprites look fine.

Replacing the square icon above the French infantry with a flag graphic would help but that's nothing to do with the image formatting of course.

I don't know what's causing the black bar top left.

Jpg are probably the best for web/forum posting due to taking up less memory.
