Great to hear from you Digby!

Get those sea legs ready and we will get you back on to Active Duty. Boney thinks he has a Navy, it will soon be time to show who rules the seas.

Ive been watching this one too, i know some guys who have access to the beta and by all accounts its awesome. Of course some liberties have been taken for gameplays sake, but given the lack of anything contemporary, ill be first in line to invest here.

I think that the fact that small teams are making these games SOW included is a good thing. Its not like EA are ever going to release anything more niche than FIFA.

I salute the cottage industry of PC wargaming!

Rumor on the Forums indicate a possible general early access through Steam in the upcoming weeks. 100+ of us are playing limited access each day right now.

Is this the crowd-funded game written by enthusiasts?

Not sure - this one was Greenlit on STEAM but i dont think they crowdsourced it, but I could be wrong. This is the one we were looking at a while back, the ship speeds were very high. Its very much multiplayer.

You could be thinking of Hearts of Oak - it is written by enthusaists and will be free, but designed for exploration, trading, single player.

Ah yes, HoA was the one.

I was disappointed to see a sinking ship in the video above... :(
