Scourge of War Boards

Today I tried to start Scourge of War: Gettysburg, and found that the launch menu was not showing anything but black. If you rolled over it with the mouse it would make the selection noises, and I was able to launch the game. I thought it to be weird, but continued anyway. I decided to play McPherson's ridge, but before it even started to load an error message appeared saying that the level wasn't found. Help would be appreciated, and if there is already a thread about this problem then I apologize.

Have you installed the 1.5 patch. If you have not, please check out the forum topics and get that installed.

Yes, I do have 1.5 installed and when I check for updates it states that I have the latest one.

This is usually a message that means the game can't find the map that you selected.

You didn't mention if the game was previously played on the System that you are playing on, and if the game has been played on the current System, What Changed ?

But, this has nothing to do with the Black Screens, but I do remember another post about that in the past few weeks. I’ll see if I can find it!

ADukes: Yes, the main game is installed.
Davinci: The system is the same one I have installed and have been playing on, and I have not changed. Maybe for the black launch menu the problem could be that I have been using the quick-start? Its the only change I have made from several days ago, and before that everything was showing up correctly on the launch menu.I can still start the game and play except for the McPherson's Ridge scenario. I don't know if anything else is missing, but there doesn't appear to be.

Can you post your SOWGB.log file that is in your work folder where you installed the game ...
