British Light Dragoons with no ToolBar

Gun,

Have you or anyone else noticed this? - The British Light Dragoons, (both types - Helmet and Shako), sometimes don't have toolbar information. In the Talavera OOB, it's the KGL Boys, just them. In the Vimeiro OOB it Taylors Lads. Weird. I don't generally command the Cav, so I haven't noticed this before now. Thoughts?

Odd. .....and unlike most of the BLD, the KGL usually did follow commands.

Tac/All,

Figured it out. The problem with the Waterloo OOB is the British are from one Mod and the French are from the other Mod. In an attempt, (mostly successful), to combine the two, there is an issue with one or more of the either .dds, .db or .tga files crossing over. I haven't solved the issue......yet. The only two things that don't work right so far are - The Game doesn't recognize the British weaponry, (it still works, just doesn't show a name), and all the French and British Light Cavalry only have no toolbar. The combining of the Mods has been the issue on why the OOB kept crashing. I'm on it...now. A matter of time until I get it done.

There was a patch that installed a new toolbar for all light cavalry for the peninsula mod. I cant say ive had a problem with any toolbar yet, maybe it had something to with the patch?

Gun,

The patch is good. No problems there. I realized it only happened when I was using the combined Mod. It works fine, (as in the toolbar shows up), when I run both the Road to Wagram Mod and the Peninsular Mod as we are suposed to. I will eventually figure out what is missing from the RTW Mod and is still in the RTW Peninsular Mod.

If you have Notepad ++ (free from cnet.com) you can load up two files and use the Compare function in the Plugins menu to examine differences between two files. This function will show both identity and difference very easily.

The missing names could indicate a needed merger in /text/sowstr.db.

Jim,

Thanks. That is the direction I was headed but didn't know an easy way how to do the comparison. Good to know about that software. Will check it out soonest.

Jim,

Installed notepad++ but no joy. It really doesn't want to run on my comp. Also, when it sort-of runs, I can't get it to set both files for comparison. Goona have to do it line-by-line.
