Well earlier I decided to install something I think one or two of you may find interesting, and that is creating your own Dayz server.
[Preemptive Strike]
This has to be illegal? (you might be thinking)
Nope it isn't actually as long as you own a valid ARMA2/CO edition then you are fine. I do suppose it will work with the illegal copies as well but that is up for you to find out, I work exclusively with the legal.
Okay, the software you will need is found on this website: http://www.dayzcc.tk/index.php?page=Index which is called "Dayz Control Center". I also suggest that you download "Dayz Commander which can be found here: http://www.dayzcommander.com/ This is a VERY handy tool to keep your Dayz, and ARMA 2/CO up-to-date.
Simply extract it to a folder outside of your ARMA 2/CO game directory. Start the Install (Setup), and it will download all the files you need to start your own server. You do not need to be part of the main Dayz server list. It works very well to play via LAN, or if you wish to host live (meaning broadcast your server on Gamespy).
Like I have mentioned, this is totally legal, and NO files are Edited, or cracked PERIOD. This is all on the up, and up.
Q: Will this work with the Dayz Client that should be coming out soon?
A: Heck if I know. It might.
Have fun guys.
