Clearing out a sandbox game

Hello all.
I put together a singleplayer sandbox game that wont clear out. I stopped the scenario before it ran and I can't get rid of it. Now when I start sandbox this same scenario loads with all the forces jumbled up and they dont fight. So basically neither side is going to reach the victory conditions.
Is there a way to clean that out so I can start over?
Thanks,
J

From the
Windows Explorer - Locate the
NorbSoftDev directory and
expand it, under the
Work folder locate the
Saved Games - and then
delete everything that is in the Saved Games folder.
Do Not Delete the Saved Games Folder - only
all of the contents that are in the folder.
That should solve the problem, but I have never heard of anyone else having this particular problem.

How do you stop a scenario before it runs?
Never heard of or experienced what you're reporting here. It's like saying you "Broke the Game". If you could attach a save with "all the forces jumbled up and they dont fight" this sure would be helpful for us to determine and solve your issue.

There was nothing in the sandbox folder, set to view hidden files and folders.
Deleted demo version and uninstalled and made a fresh install. Even so, all my old scores from before and the same mixed up jumble of troops that wont fight each other still occurred after the fresh install. It's saving junk info somewhere, and that junk needs to go. What in the world is up with the troops that wont fire on each other? I just tried another sandbox and with McLaws holding the capture point, the point never went Confederate and the entire Union Artillery rolled up the road, parked, and the capture point turned Union!! And everyone ignored each other! Are you kidding me??
This should not be happening. Something is corrupted somewhere. I bought the game from Matrix and its a download install. Everything else on my box runs fine. I'm very disappointed.
Anyone who can help I'd appreciate it.

Ok saw another post that said large OOB can cause problems... I was doing Army vs Army in sandbox. Guys I have a custom built gaming rig that crushes anything I've ever tried to play on it. I can't believe its hardware. Am I just asking too much of the game to have everything on the map at once?

I meant to say I ended the scenario before it reached the set victory conditions, or before it played out.
And too many units may account for the troops not firing on each other while being controlled by AI, but what is causing everything in the orbat to be making giant x's on the field, one leg Union and one leg Confederate, with artillery units scattered all over? I haven't saved a single scenario. Why isn't it dumping that when I hit End Battle?

Saved games and high scores don't uninstall, and reinstall does not erase them, do this manually as Davinci suggested. This is built in to protect your saved games. But this isn't the "Junk" you're experiencing. Sounds like a memory overload whereas the AI just completely shuts down. Try a smaller sandbox battle or set the sprite ratio to a higher number than 4 in options. And maybe get us that save.

Sorry, we're crossing posts. Also apologies, the game is limited to the amount of memory it can process (1.8 MB), it's only 32 Bit. So, big rigs can only push it so far. Hopefully we'll go the 64 Bit route in a future generation engine, but for now, we're staying backward compatible. Like I suggested, for the big Army stuff, increase the sprite ratio.

The units starting in big X's overlapping with the enemy is caused by playing with an order of battle in sandbox that is too big. It's due to the way forces are deployed in sandbox. You might get lucky and see it not happen sometimes, but that depends on the OOB.
Have you seen the units not firing on each other problem even with a corps or smaller sized sandbox battle? As in, no units will fight at all? That sounds like a line in your sowgb.ini file being changed, but I don't imagine you've done that intentionally.

I think the "not firing on each other" is due to the Army vs Army OOB I was using on the Kansas map. Just too much stuff for it to keep up with. It is exacerbated by using time compression. I took an hour just to let the map run, without time compression, and units would be fighting in one area of the map. After a few minutes, units previously oblivious to the danger they were in would start firing on each other. The Federals met the victory conditions, in what was bascially one huge melee with both armies jammed into the Kansas map.
Thanks for the gouge on 32bit vs 64bit. Hadn't considered that. Tried the sprite ratio, it made the regiments look smaller and didnt appear to matter one way or the other so I set it back to zero.
The main scenarios play fine and are excellent. Small sandbox runs fine.
You guys might be the only game in town with a WBTS vid, but I think you hit a home run. The map art and the detail of the fighting units is outstanding. Either sandbox or scenario, in the future I'll just take an evening to enjoy the visuals while letting things run in realtime.
Thanks everyone for responding, I appreciate the insights.
