Scourge of War Boards

This was ridiculous. Two fights now, I have played historical. And two fights I have nearly lost. HITS is hard enough to play as it is, but then I encounter 700 man level 8 regiments in the 11th Corps! Quite ridiculous! When I play as the 11th Corps (Gettysburg Day 1 OOB), my regiments are certainly not 700 men strong and level 8s. They are lowly level 3s and maybe 500 men.

Was there a change to historical setting I missed? I thought Grog was when the troop ratings and strength went up, and historical was just HITS.

I'm surprised I pulled off a draw battling invincible troops. It is nice that the AI occasionally attacks piece-meal.

Would Custom fit the bill? That's how I play HITS games and you don't get über regiments.

I guess I could change the settings to custom, but I always thought Historical was supposed to be just that, HITS.

a) nearly losing on historical is not that surprising. It happens alot!

b) yep - unit strengths and morale should be unchanged at historical.

c) had you any mods enabled?
