Problem with replays

I am having an issue with the replay feature.
When I load a reply battle and hit the spacebar, no troops appear on the field. My commander shows up in the commander ID box with 1 man to his name. No troops/icons appear on the ground. The map shows the correct starting position of all units, but no units are visible on the ground.
This is the case with both (I have all of two) replays in my library.
Pressing the manipulate time buttons does nothing.
Any ideas? If it were one file, I'd say it is corrupt, but both replays?
Game otherwise works splendidly.
Best PC game ever made, in my awesome opinion, bugs or no. It says a that we lot we spend an hour or more loading MP games and still stick with it!

Hi.
Were you using a toolbar mod by any chance?
If so, disable the toolbar mod, then go back to the replay option, and play the replay, and see if that changes anything for you. If you are not using a Toolbar mod, then that is best answered by the top brass.
Hope this helped, if not I'm sorry.

Neal ,
Does your Replay look like this when you load it up ?
If so, it is working correctly. If not, can you show us a picture of what it looks like.
The attachment REPLAY.jpg is no longer available

My replay does not look like that.
No units show up.
I am not using a toolbar mod.

Do you have your game patched up to 1.5 ?

Well, you've gotta have 1.5, otherwise the replay button would not be an option. So, I'm guessing you clicked stuff out of order and found a bug that we didn't discover. There are so many different combinations that can be enabled that it's impossible to test them all.
Do the procedure again, hopefully you'll opt the correct one, then report the error one if you can recall it. One things for sure, the replay function works as advertised, if the correct procedure of enabling it is followed.

Thanks for the help.
The replay feature has worked for me before. Only after Saturday did it fail me and I have no idea why.
In fact, after battle I was able to view the replay once, and I stopped it and closed the game partway through. When I came back to it later, it did not work.
I do not recall making any changes to anything, not even mods.
It really did go from working fine to not working all on its own.
Of course, we know nothing just happens, so I am trying to think of anything I could have done to break it. All I did was play a MP game. Everyone else who participated can use their replay feature just fine. I'm sure I did something, but who knows what?
Very baffling!

Which OS are you running?
If your are running Vista, or Win 7, run the game in Admin mode. I had to do run SOW with Admin rights to get the lettering to reappear in the game (all the lettering was blacked out with red). It works fine if I keep it in Admin mode.

Strange indeed. I can't help but think it is some kind of mod which is the culprit 9 times out of 10. However, if you can complete rule that out as the issue, no other changes have been made to your game.. Is your logfile clean after you see the issue? Any errors in it?
