Load Save Game Fails

I upgraded my game to 1.5 and was running some tests. In Tutorial 1 I did a couple of game saves. On restarting the game I attempted to open the Saved game dialog to load one of these. The game hangs without error messages and never responds to the request.

Is this a bug or should the game be deleted and reinstalled?

Tried deleting and re-installing with same result.
Screen shows version as 1.5001

I noticed that the screen called when "Single Player" chosen from the Main menu does not match the one shown in the manual which has six items on it. This one has only three:

Tutorials
Load Save Game
Back to Main

Am I by chance still in Demo mode? If so, how to I get out?
The 1.5 patch took my activation code and appeared to work.

What I did was totally uninstall the game, download the 1.4, do not register the 1.4 version, just keep it in demo, then download the 1.5, and then register with the 1.5. Two registers usually mess it up.

Finally got it working. The following worked but I didn't verify every step I did was necessary.

1. Ran the Uninstall from control panel.
It says it deactivated the registration and does delete most of the files.
2. I manually deleted all the files on the C drive.
3. I ran regedit and deleted the two references in there to "Scourge of War". One is under Matrix and another under Nobesoft.
4. I installed my original 1.00 version fo the game.
I also registered it, made sure it's Single Game openned a full menu.
Then I deactivated it from the main screen.
5. I installed the 1.5 update filling out its registration when it prompted.
6. Worked

Interesting observation. When it finally installed correctly and addition start screen comes up with a "Play" button. I hadn't seen this until now.

Note to developers: Learn how to write an uninstall so that it removes the game and it's registery entries.

When I uninstalled it the first time, and then reinstalled the demo before activating again, the registry entries were removed....but since they just made the patch, of course there will still be issues. No game is absolutely perfect. Nothing is absolutely perfect.
