Problem with courier orders
Problem with courier orders
Not sure what is going on, but I have begun to experience problems with the courier order system. My subordintas are not responding. I give a specific brigade commander an order, such as "move to my left flank"
and the troops do not respond. What am I to do to get the moving around? they only respond at the regimental level. Order sequence is 1) move to my left flank (or wherever),
change formation," and "use roads."
thanks for the help

Try following MTG's excellent guide in post #6 in this thread:

If you are already doing this, I'm afraid I don't know what might be going wrong
I'm sure someone else will, though.

Re: Problem with courier orders
Yeah I do not know what's going on because my troops are not responding to commands at the brigade levels or above. only individual regiments can be ordered around. wtf?

Re: Problem with courier orders
DO you have the Couriers set in the options to "Side" or "None" by any chance?

Are you giving them a formation to assume when they get there? The order sequence should be:My subordintas are not responding. I give a specific brigade commander an order, such as "move to my left flank"and the troops do not respond. What am I to do to get the moving around?
1. Move to (where ever)
2. Assume this formation.

I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.
Re: Problem with courier orders
If you are using a custom OOB check that the courier is within the chain of command of the highest ranking office.
Re: Problem with courier orders
set to "side."
Re: Problem with courier orders
yes I tell them where to move, then formation type.
Re: Problem with courier orders
IIRC (am not on PC so can't check), set couriers to 'Brigade and above'.set to "side."
