How far north, south, east, and west will the combined maps extend?

There are four main battle maps that cover all areas of major combat with significant overlap. North to south our coverage is similar to many of the battlefield maps. East to west varies because the Culps Hill map extends east quite a bit farther than the other maps so that Wolf Hill is included.

Are East Cavalry Field and Marsh Creek included?
How far north of Oak Hill?
How far south of Big Round Top?

East Cav will be included in the first release only if the major upgrades to the cavalry AI are performing to our standards. It is not one of the 4 main maps. If it does not make release 1 there are several options, but we do intend that it will be available with the appropriate oobs etc.

If you've got the whole Warren map covered we should be in pretty good shape since that is considered by many to be the benchmark map showing the main tactical area of the battle.
If East Cavalry Field came later as an expansion that would give us something to look forward to after we played the main map for awhile.

Jim,
Are all expansions, upgrades and variants to be noted in the stock scenerio list? or dug up some other way? I hope ya keep it simple.

HM4: We have a new system for all 3. The supplied scenarios will have their own page for selection. User created scenarios will have a page of their own. Finally there will be a separate page for full tilt mods to be added. We used the mod page to test alternate toolbar layouts and it worked well at that level. The goal is to be able to accommodate everything with a single installation of the game.
AJ: The full Warren map is not included, but all 4 main maps are (barely) contained within the boundaries of the Warren map. There is a balance among map size, map sprite number and game performance. We tried to set things up so that someone with a fast system by todays standards can run with all the options or close to it. We are building in a suite of options to adjust the game load so that it is playable on a reasonable range of systems.

Will downloads from mods or elsewhere affect the performance of stock scenerios? I would like to play mods, but have been leary of corrupting factory play. Sounds like the way you have getty organized, that stock and mods are compatable and both stay preserved.
What about support on mods? How is that going to be handled?
Thanks

The new modding support will never require people to edit our default files. Mods will be able to be turned on and off, set order of precedence, and not require multiple installs of the game.

This will be a great addition to the game. Another questions for the mods realm. Will they be able to be played in MP or will they only by able to do SP.
