Thanks for the story.

Don't often get a tear in my eye reading the forum.

Just had an idea.

The story says the 11th PA was at Antietam. I'm not sure where in the OOB but I will search.

Any dog lover might do a bull-terrier sprite mod and add it to the 11th PA muster ? I can't think of a better tribute.

The 11th PA were at Antietam:

Hooker's Corps (1st)
Rickett's Division (2nd)
Hartsuff's Brigade (3rd)

There is a very good book available on the subject "A Colonel, A Flag and a Dog"
"Die hard, my men. Die hard the 57th."
