Speaking of the game. . .

Seems to me cannon shouldn't be able to fire over friendlies with such ease and effectiveness. Lately in the GCM, we've seen the return of lining guns up a few yards (from 10 to 50) behind the lines. And these guns kill like crazy, as if they're not shooting over (and through) their own troops. Yes. . . cannon will fire magic canister into melees. And often they'll let loose solid shot or shrapnel with such precision that they hit not a single friendly just ahead yet reap limbs and lives of the enemy a few hundred yards away.

I would really appreciate it if you guys (NSD) could find it in your hearts to at least let us (GCM, Garnier) modify the fire over penalty.

That has always bugged me a bit, too. In the old game "Cossacks - European Wars," you had to really pay attention where your guns were or cannister would mow down YOUR troops as well as the enemies. Can't tell you how often that happened. Yes, perhaps Norb?Team could adjust that somewhat.

There just needs to be friendly fire. Even Total War has friendly fire. A canister cone or a shrapnel burst shouldn't know who is in it's field of effectiveness, but should rip holes in everything.

That's the one and only thing I liked about Napoleon TW.

The scenery was pretty too. And the 3D troops. Almost everything else sucked.
