Shiloh 150th Anniversary

Post by exp101 »

One of our Civil War Round Table members shared these of the "15th Iowa" at the Shiloh 150 commemoration.

Fantastic, especially the cavalry company. The colours are so intense in all the pictures and of course it always helps to have no modern clutter in the backgrounds. Have your contacts got any more photos?

Damn! I feel old now. Hard to believe it's been 25 years since I did the 125th anniv. @ Shiloh. Hair frozen to the ground sleeping outside, etc. Good pics!

Yes, that was a cold 125th! Blazing fires, quarter-sticks of explosives, aerial bursts, huge cannonade, all caught on film by a long-forgotten independent film-maker. Good thing I still have an old VHS machine that allows me to go back!
