Courier Heading \ sowdoc \ Question

Hey, does anyone on the team know how to get rid of the Courier Message Heading ?

I have tried to edit the sowdoc file, but this just doesn't seem to work.

This is a total waste of space listing this useless information.....
The attachment courier1.jpg is no longer available
EDIT Post - I'll settle for just removing the following...Dispatch, time, and the Execution time.

Thanks,

davinci

So , I take it that no one on the team knows how the text files work, that's sort of interesting !

The material in SOWDoc.txt *may* have been superseded when we went to the newer text message system. Only Norb can comment as to how it is coded currently.

Thanks, but this just means that the file is probably Hard-Coded , so I might as well forget about this!

I will add that this file probably doesn't need the time to be displayed three-times in the heading.

Maybe, I need to Google and see if I can find an actual Courier Message of the time, to see how they actually looked!

Davinci,

Coincidentally, just saw a thread about written orders on the Kriegsspiel forum:
http://forum.kriegsspiel.org.uk/t36-som ... e-acw#1342

It includes references to
http://ehistory.osu.edu/osu/sources/records/list.cfmhttp://ehistory.osu.edu/osu/sources/records/list.cfm

and a few other places that sound of interest.

Thanks, Blaugrana - I'll check them out when I return from Alabama, tonight!
