Importing TC2M sprites into SOW ?

Perhaps I’m the only one but I prefer TC2M horses , Wagons ,Cavalry and Artillery sprites to those in SOW However I do prefer the Infantry Regiments in SOW can they be imported over ? Even just the really nice Artillery from TC2M. If there’s one mod I love to see it would be TC2M unit sprites for Sow.
I must admit that I am not Modder at all I can do is rename files and mess about with the SDK and thats it. Perhaps if someone with ability agrees with me they would think about this mod.

Jubal Early - I think that I'm just the opposite when it comes to the graphics.

I prefer to import the infantry troops over from the previous game, but I prefer this games horses and artillery .

It’s sort of strange that everyone seems to have certain things that they like and dislike.

I’ll will probably import the Infantry over in time, once I understand the TexturePacker thing, but as of now, I’m lost, lost, and did I mention….. lost.

Cleaburn , not really telling you anything that you don’t already know, but usually after the release of a patch , and the changing of the sdk files, most mods take about several weeks to a month to catch up!

I plan on doing the TC2M Infantry conversion, but it’s probably going to be at least a month from now!

Good to hear from you, May I ask you a Question, can the old Greymods you made for me be converted to work in 1.4 or what not sure what to do......Good to hear from you hows it going must be very busy thanks for your response. Cleaburn CSA.....

I'm not sure, but open the Logistics folder from that mod and check to see if it has the gfxunits.csv in that folder.....I think that that is the name of the file, I'm in Linux right now, so I can't check the actual name.

The latest patch didn't break anything really, it only changed some of ways that the game worked, but Norb left the game so that it is backwards compatible .

Basically, the old way still works, but the newer file construction ( i.e....png format ) is supposed to be faster.

Hey, If you have the GreyMod5 do this.

1) Open the Logistics folder and delete the gfx.csv file.

2) Extract the unitgfx file from the Attachment below and place it in the Logistics folder.

Basically, this file will replace the older gfx.csv file - but due to the different name - the older file has to be deleted or it will crash the mod!

Post back any problems!

Note - as mentioned above, I still plan on converting these units into the newer-png-dds format, but it's going to be later on down the road.
