Alright, I am finished with both Mansfield and Pleasant Hill. These are pics of Yellow Bayou (May 18th, 1864). This was the last battle of the campaign. I still have another 40 hours of work on this one, but its good enough to post the work that has been done. After this map is Jenkins Ferry for the conclusion of the Red River Campaign Maps. I plan on getting the OOB's from Zeke and adding the proper portraits. I also plan on doing some new screen splashes for this mod aswell. Happy Holidays, and enjoy the pics.

That’s Funny, now that must have been some good southern bourbon!

To really enhance the graphics, you may need to add a sunny-sky-effect to the game, or at least release it so that there is a choice to that effect!

I’m not sure why the sky plays such an important role in the ground effects, but it does.

Question – have you found a good tree-site that has a good variety of trees on it, I’m thinking that that is another direction to move towards.

Excellent! That 5th picture of the tree line looks just like an early morning photograph.

I plan on making my own sky for this and Jenkins Ferry. Since it is a cube pro file its going to take work at the edges of the circular dds graphic. I need a rainy sky for Jenkins Ferry, and I might just use one of the skys and alter it with my editor to change the saturation, color, and contrast for this map. I need to put some more work into playing around with that (hopefully Crikey will be making some soon so I can just steal his like the old days). As far as trees, I just find most on the net and do a lot of magic wand work, erasing, color to alpha, and layers. Sometimes, I take just a trunk or branches and crop, and paste parts of Jolly's or my own into a tree or grass etc. It usually takes me 30 minutes or so to produce a tree. The Cypress trees in the first pic with the spanish moss were a pain in the ass! Its all fun. As far as sites go, not a lot of free ones. It seems that shutterstock owns the rights to almost all images of trees. If a four year old made a picture of a tree with a crayon, shutterstock now owns the rights. My work has an account with them........thats all I will say.

Being from the South, I've seen some of that terrain. Great job.
