Reinstallation Question

Post by Hancock the Superb »

Quite a while back, I was told that I needed to move the game out of my C:\Programs folder and into the C: folder. So I copied the entire game and pasted it into the C drive. However, the game now runs extremely slow, and it used to run quite fast.

I'm planning on deactivating, then uninstalling and reinstalling the game; however, I am wondering about my purchase of the Pipe Creek addition. Is there a way to uninstall that as well?

Finally, am I on the right path to speeding up the game again? I wasn't sure if the patch or the copy was slowing the game down.

Thanks for your help!

Uninstalling the game will also uninstall pipe creek, but it also comes with it's own uninstaller. If your game used to be faster than it is now, it shouldn't be anything with the game. Patches shouldn't slow down the game. If anything they should speed it up because performance was worked on with the last couple of patches.

Would the team please check its activation email? The deactivation did not complete successfully during uninstallation. (Even though I could have sworn it said, for a moment, deactivating)

When the team gets a chance (perhaps after Antietam is released), could they go back over the whole installation, demo, and deactivation process? The deactivation did not work for me, and many of the demo things don't work (on the activation screen). I also feel that that first screen is too cluttered. Just some ideas to work on.

Just attempted to reinstall Pipe Creek. No luck. Shall I send you guys an email? I tried the link that the company sent me originally...but it said I couldn't download it.

You guys should start thinking about doing all the purchasing stuff yourself. I feel like there would be fewer problems (at least from me). But that is probably a stretch.

Sorry your having problems Hancock, but normally the purchasing, activating, deactivating etc. goes very smooth for people.

You should have heard back from the activation email by now, but if not please let me know.

And that's also strange that you aren't able to download Pipe Creek again. I assume you didn't save the original installer you downloaded? If not, you should still be able to get it again. You might want to email the support address for that issue. Don't worry, we'll get you going again one way or another.. :)

I'd like to thank the team for doing a great job helping me get my game back. It has been a lengthy process, but they are coming through to my aid. I really would like to thank the team for that.

So, you folks that haven't bought the game, don't worry about customer support...these guys take the cake for it.
