Scourge of War Boards

Greetings everyone,

I have a question about the Sandbox. Before I ask, yes I did go through the manual, and yes I searched the forum. I was unable to find anything that really elaborates on my question. So here it goes.

Playing single player in the sandbox, I typically play at Division Level. I just recently started playing around with all the commands in the rock menu and am a bit confused with the "Attach Brigade/Detach Brigade" and "Attach Regiment/Detach Regiment" in the Orders Menu for a Brigade officer.

When I select "Attach Regiment" it throws another commander on the field who immediately takes command of two regiments.

How does this function work? I can't figure out to give the regiments back to the original brigade commander, nor attach only certain units to that recently created officer. Am I missing something in the manual?

Any help would be great, I appreciate the help!

To place them back under the original Brigade Commander click the Flag of the new spawned Officer.

Once the new Officer is selected – click the Attach Regiment button.

The Icon should change to a Yellow Arrow .

Use the Yellow Arrow and click the Original Brigade Commanders flag.

The units will now attach themselves back into the brigade.

I also had no idea that this function was in the game until reading this post, so I decided to try it out!

This is a neat little feature, and can be used to place units as a rear-guard, or guarding certain cross-roads.

Now, I wonder how many other features that are in the game that I'm not aware of!

When I became a member of the team, many things were revealed to me. One of the most closely kept secrets was "The Things Davinci Does Not Know About". We were sworn to secrecy never to reveal those under pain of disteamberment.

HAH, for some reason this sent me back too way-back-when, ( i.e...years-and-years-ago), before ADukes was on the team, and he would figure out everything about the game, so Norb thought that we were feeding him information.

It just turned out that the guy had the natural ability to see inside of the game like no-one else could!

Just thought that I would share that little bit of information from the past!

Indeed. That's why Adukes is on the team.

Sometimes I wonder if he's even human.. Some say that he's actually a robot that Norb created. Maybe he's.. the AI. :laugh:

Im using this feature and im having some problems detaching a brigade and its commander and giving it to another div general. Is this possible?

You , sure do have a way of taking something that works, adding in a few more steps, and then wonder why it doesn’t work!

I’m , not completely sure, but I would doubt that you can move them from one Division to the next.

This is more of a detach from under this command, than it is a attach this to another command feature.

You can attach regiments to whoever you like.


You can detach brigades - theres a button for it.

You can attach them - why limit it to just one commander!
