The first shot

One of the new brigade scenarios, the first shot - i think theres something up with it (or maybe not - i only played it once).

I was really enjoying it, falling back slowly, delaying the advance as much as possible, when I sent one squadron around the flank of the confederate advance to try and get them to spread out a bit, form line, standard delaying tactics. However, the division/corps/army or whatever is following stopped, while the lead brigade followed that small squadron all over the map. I just lead it in circles, got some more cavalry over and started harassing it.

One other thing, (just a suggestion) is that i think you get too many troops in this scenario. I started it under the impression that those four squadrons were all you get, and was doing a good job of holding them up - but then i saw four more squadrons at each waypoint - not to mention the artillery at the end.

This time the rebs never went past the second waypoint.

I'll look into it for when I release the new Brigade Pack. Sometimes the AI gets a little too smart and all scripting goes out the window.

About too many troops, if the Rebs push you back all the way to the last OBJ, then you're going to be glad you have those extra troops. And plus it's an entry level scenario so it's supposed to be easy. :)

ill try it again - see if i can do it with just the four squadrons. March all the others to safety..

You'd be surprised how much you can hold up a column by just deploying in front or on flanks, firing while their wheeling into position and then mounting and galloping off. Mounting is instantaneous though, maybe it could take some time, like limbering/unlimbering with a little icon on the unit panel?
