Scenario Design

Post by MarkT »

Matt,

Was going in to create a historical OOB in mod and I found a couple of interesting things.

First - The June 30th OOB that is hard coded in does not match the SDK one.
Artillery Reserve Corps
First Regular Brigade - 3rd US Art. John G Turnbull
Errors out and has a Lt Livingston... The only way around this is to not include the battery in the OOB.
I cannot correct it for I do not know what is coded in.
Not Good.

This leads to Second:
I am trying to create a Historical OOB and SB OOB (July 1st). I set them up in MODS as in your sample, BUT they just error out "Bad Location -1"... But yours work fine...

I use renamed SDK OOB same result. NOTHING WORKS

I see no value in placing a scenario in MODS, when it is easier to place it in "Scenarios"

There is no historical OOB for Day1 for SB. I wish to overhall and use it.

Your OOBs seem to be just standard cut down OOB. the only difference is naming "SB" for sandbox.

Mark

You must be using a version of the SDK that's using the old OOB format. The new format has a new column, the OOBMOD column. There's an old version of the SDK floating around there, this isn't the first time I've seen someone have it. Make sure you grab this one with the new OOB format:

I don't know why it's beta, it could be final by now. Username beta, password beta
