Hi.
1: How do you switch sides when editing (there has to be a way). (I don't see the command in the docs).
2: The Docs never told me I had to take command of the ARMY to move the troops. I thought the debug option would override this. (I could be wrong).
3: The docs tell me to use Debug=2, then in the example it says to use Debug=1, and the explanation for the 2 is *********** what in the name is that, and what is it's real purpose?
I personally think the SDK Docs has to be re-written. In one section it tells you to do one thing, and in another something else, what gives?
Anyway, it would also be better to teach someone on how too create a scenario from scratch instead of telling them to take a sample script. It still doesn't explain the fundamentals which I think is so important in understanding something fully. I mean how can anyone really learn anything if all they do is replace bits, and pieces in a script that is already written? :woohoo:
Sorry folks, but I had to blow a wee bit of steam here. I hate having to keep asking people questions, and it does make me feel like I can't do anything on my own. If the written docs can't help me, then who do I turn too?
Later...
Scenario Creation.

Re: Scenario Creation.
1. Not sure what you mean here.. Can you give me more details?
2. You don't have to take command of an Army to move troops. If you're talking about Alpha Omega, you only have to have AlphaOmega=1 set in the ini file and all troops on both sides will be under your control.
3. I think Debug=2 gives you a little more information than Debug=1. I'm not sure what exactly but I always use Debug=2.
The only way to learn the fundamentals is to look at an existing script. Take those commands ideas and make your own. It's all about trial and error.. I've put in countless hours just trying out all of the different commands and combinations etc.

Re: Scenario Creation.
Hi LP, and thanks for the reply.
I didn't have the alphaomega set to 1, That would explain why I couldn't do what I was looking to do.
Thanks Little Powell.

You are absolutely right sir it would be better to mess around with existing scripts. I started to create a Scenario (very small), and I was so lost, I can't tell you how lost I was.The only way to learn the fundamentals is to look at an existing script.
