FOG Maps & Stock Scenarios/Bonus Scenarios/Tutorial Scenarios

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

FOG Maps & Stock Scenarios/Bonus Scenarios/Tutorial Scenarios

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Hi.

Before I start to explain some things for the new folks who have purchased this game, I only compiled these Scenario's, and the Great Fog maps created by Jack O'Neil, and Davinci so all of the thanks goes to these two great gentlemen for their hard work, and dedication.

Also, I forgot to give thanks to Little Powell for making the "Bonus Scenarios" (forgive me sir for forgetting).

Note: All of the Tutorial's are included as well.

Alright first download the Mod from here (too large to upload here or else I would have)

Download Link: http://www.justallinone.com/files/FOG_M ... narios.rar

Please unzip/unrar this file into your MODS folder (<driveletter>:\NorbSoftDev\Scourge of War - Gettysburg\Mods) If you require the zip utility then checkout my signature, you can find the link to the download there.

NOTE: You will notice that while choosing a sandbox map to play there will be two sets of the same maps. It appears that the maps in the mod folder overrides the default maps so choosing any of the maps work.

NOTE 2: Disable the fog map mod to go back to the original game set (without the fog).

I think I have explained this, if anyone wishes to add to this I would appreciate it. Explaining something in detail is not my strongest point. Hey if you want a good job done in mowing your lawn, then I'm your man!

Enjoy!

Re: FOG Maps & Stock Scenarios/Bonus Scenarios/Tutorial Scenarios/MP Scenarios

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Hi.

I have made an error here guys. The Multiplayer Scenarios, and the MP sandbox will not work with the FOG maps. Every other Scenario, and Sandbox works as it should, including the Bonus Scenarios. For those who downloaded the .RAR file, just go to the Mods\FOG Maps & Stock Scenarios\Scenarios and delete all the scenarios which has the MP00 to MP12 in the name.

Sorry folks I should have tested this out fully before releasing it.

New download link is: http://www.justallinone.com/files/FOG_M ... narios.rar

Hi.

I thought I would pass this on. I'm about midpoint in a battle with the fog maps enabled (created by Jack O'Neill, and Davinci). It's one thing while playing without the fog mod to see what the enemy is up too, and it gives you time to react. With the fog mod, it has all changed.

I am playing the Brickyard scenario, and I just had a big surprise. Of course I thought this was going to be easy. Only two regiments engaged me, and I was holding my own quite nicely, and I had time to grab myself a cup o tea, and a wee bit of jerky. Then out of the fog came a regiment which I didn't see coming, and walked right up, and charged. I just didn't see them approaching which makes this mod one of the better ones out there.

This mod has changed the rules...time to die.

Later.

Hi.

I'm not too sure. I think it dumps locations of troops, troop stats, and other nifty things like that. I could be wrong on this though. I have never used the data dump before so I can only make an uneducated guess.

Sorry.

Hi Guys.

Well I screwed up with the FOG Maps, and Stock Scenario's. I forgot to do something with the scenarios which Little Powell told me over a year ago.

I have fixed the problem where some of the stock scenarios would not allow you to play them unless you finished a previous map first...IT'S FIXED.

If anyone who has downloaded the earlier version, you can find the new download in the first, and second post.

Sorry guys, girls, aliens, BigFoot, Loch Ness, Bogman, Jersey Monster, and the cat that played the fiddle.

Hi.

The Fog Maps (created by Jack O'Neill, and Davinci), and Scenario's has been updated. If you have questions concerning the FOG Maps, please direct them to Jack O'Neill since the new editing has been done by Mister O'Neill.

If you have problems with the Scenario's not playing in this package, please direct them to me. NSD will not provide support for any edited version of their product.

If you have a problem with me, then direct them to my wife, because I just don't want to hear about it. She will be more sympathetic than I will be...

Cheers, and enjoy the new edits.

All,

Please be advised that the vast majority of the heavy liftng on the Fog Mod was done by DaVinci. I just screwed around a bunch with the numbers until I found something I liked.

Hello Jack.

I apologize to Davinci for not mentioning him. Without Davinci, we are all lost. :)

I would say that the opposite would be true, never follow me if you don't want to get lost, but if you do - well then I'm your guide.
