Scourge of War Boards

I'm a new player running through the tutorials. Frequently the camera and other controls freeze up, with the image zoomed in on the commander. My only recourse seems to be hitting escape, saving the game, quitting the game, and then restarting the saved game. I've downloaded and installed the latest update. I'm running the game under 64-bit Windows 7, on a quad-core processor with 8 Gbyte memory. Is there anything I can do to prevent the controls freezing up?

You could be accidentally hitting the F key (which brings you to Head In The Saddle mode). Next time it happens, hit the F key a time or two and see if it goes away.

You were right - operator error! I restarted the game, deliberately hit "f" key to reproduce the problem, and then hit the "f" key again to resolve it. Thanks again for the help!

No problem. I have found myself hitting the key many times by accident.. If you don't think you'll ever use the function, just go into your keyboard.csv found in the Work folder, and delete the line that starts with "Follow".

The keyboard.csv can be your best friend.. Mine is highly customized.
