How many musicians here?

I asked this question on the MMG Forum, so I thought it would be a good thread here, as well.
How many musicians are there here in the NSD Forum?
I've played the Guitar since I was fourteen. In the last couple of years I started playing the Bass and the Keyboard. I love to write and arrange music. I'm not a lyric writer,(I can't sing at all!) but I write and arrange for lyrics/singers. I've been in several Original Bands, and a few Cover Bands.
Making and playing music is just something I love to do. It's still my favorite way to spend my free time.
Just wondering how many people on this Forum have the same hobby?

Well my friend you know I'm a Bass Man and have been for 28 years.

I also write; mainly lyrics. I was the lead singer/co lead singer in most of the bands I have ever been in. (got my singing voice from mom :cheer: ) I also play guitar ( studied classical for 5 years ) and the mandolin.
I've played 4 & 5 string fretted and fretless electric Basses and I studied Jazz on a stand up.....but my main has been my Washburn XB 600 6 string Bass for the last 11+ years. Hoping to get a fretless Fender Jazz this next year.
Most bands I've played in have been Blues/Classic Rock w/ Originals thrown in. My playing style is my own......but you can hear my influences clearly:
Jaco Pastorious ( the all mighty God of Bass )
Phil Lesh ( a Bassist beyond description )
Chris Squire ( beyond the edge )
Jack Bruce ( Cream's version of "Crossroads"....nuff said )
Randy Jo Hobbs ( Played with Johnny and Edgar Winter....wonderful )
Charles Mingus ( nuff said )
Larry Graham (the father of slap/pop funk)
John Entwistle (thunder fingers)
Paul McCartney ( the father of melodic rock and roll Bass )
Stanley Clarke (the slap master )
Geezer Butler ( the true father of Metal Bass )
John Paul Jones ( the fire and LED of Zeppelin )
Berry Oakley Sr. ( southern rock master )
I am very much what you would call a "Lead Bassist". I use a wide variety of effects, including a Wah Pedal.
And that as they say....is that.B)

Thank you!
Unfortunately that would be a no
ironsight. I do have many tapes of some of my old bands.....many of them master soundboards and audience FOB ( Front of Board ) recordings.
I would love to transfer them to cd and then to my pc so that maybe one day I can share my playing with everybody.

That would make me very happy, as well as a great way to preserve my recordings......some of these tapes are more than 20 years old.
