Strange Setup and Issue During Sandbox Mode
I just started up a sandbox game where I was the Union. At the start of the game, my units where placed in a line within a few yards of a large battery of of Southern Artillery. The setup itself was strange but what happened next is even more strange. Both armies just ignored each other. Here were two enemies within a few yards of each other doing absolutely nothing. Why wouldn't they be attacking each other? It is like each side was blind. This is with the latest beta patch. Only way I could get my units do do anything was to issue charge orders. But even then my troops were reluctant. I should have easily attacked and destroyed all the artillery units. The Southern units never moved or fired a shot.

If this happens again, immediately Save the game, and just let them continue to do what they are doing. Both armies just ignored each other. Here were two enemies within a few yards of each other doing absolutely nothing. Why wouldn't they be attacking each other? It is like each side was blind.
Then, try to reload the game to see if the same thing happens again!
If is does, this would be a good file to send to Norb so that he can see, and then fix the problem that is causing this.
BTW – there were several cases of this if the OOB was extremely large, in the early stages of the game.

Yeah that's just strange. We never encountered anything like that during testing. Like Davinci said please try to grab a save if/when it happens again.I just started up a sandbox game where I was the Union. I just sent a save game showing this. After I reloaded the save, my troops at least started shooting, but the south did not.
Re: Strange Setup and Issue During Sandbox Mode
That means there is nothing to see if loading the save solves the issue. Right?

Yeah, your probably right. Except the south still does not fire a shot. This happens to me every game so I would think you should be able to reproduce. Just go to sandbox, choose gettysburg map, choose a union brigade, choose army size battle, and choose to defend. Everytime I do this, I get the same results.

Re: Strange Setup and Issue During Sandbox Mode
I'm experiencing the same thing as Grim reaper. MP Sandbox, Army vs Army, Gettysburg map.
Here are some screen shots where the rebs position is being fired upon by what should be my cannon, but the cannon are not present, and the rebs just stood there took a beating, and started to move away. At any rate there were no cannon graphics showing up. Here are some screenshots.
Where are the cannon?
Federal Cannon Firing on the Rebs, but where are the fed's cannon?
The Rebs taking a beating (where are their cannon as well?

Re: Strange Setup and Issue During Sandbox Mode
I will if I can get a chance. There is one thing that I have noticed about these graphic problems, and that is it only seems to happen if I play a MP sandbox game. Everything appears to be fine if I play a game in SP Sandbox mode.Wow.. Please get us a save of that if you can mikesla. You can email it to matt at norbsoftdev.com

Odd...anyway just thought I would post a note about it.

Not that I have ever played a Multi-Player Game, but wouldn’t this be related to the Internet-Speed ?There is one thing that I have noticed about these graphic problems, and that is it only seems to happen if I play a MP sandbox game. Mikesla – didn’t you mention that you were using a very slow internet connection a while back, have this changed?
