Favorites bar icon
I notice when I create a NSD icon (drag it from the address bar) in my favorites bar (both in IE and Firefox) I don't get a NSD specific icon, just a generic one. Does anyone get GB specific icon?

The same as yours…but you do have the option to change it!I notice when I create a NSD icon (drag it from the address bar) in my favorites bar (both in IE and Firefox) I don't get a NSD specific icon, just a generic one. Does anyone get GB specific icon?
Click – Favorites
Right Click – the NorbSoftDev – Link and Select Properties
Click – Change Icon
Click – Browse
Now – navigate to the C : \ NorbSoftDev\ ScourgeofWar – directory
There you will have the following icons to pick from…
Inf , hat, 114th, C_Inf, C_Kepi, or cap
Click – on one of them
Click – Open
Click – OK
Click – Apply
Your Icon in Favorites - should change to whichever one you picked!

Hey AJ. Good to hear from you my friend.I notice when I create a NSD icon (drag it from the address bar) in my favorites bar (both in IE and Firefox) I don't get a NSD specific icon, just a generic one. Does anyone get GB specific icon?

That's a pretty cool trick Davinci. I'll see about getting an icon to show up for the site. I'm sure it's some setting in the web software.

Thanks DaVinci. I'll try that on my desktop where I have GB installed. But what about on my laptop where GB isn't installed but I still view the NSD website. That's where the favorite's bar icon is generic.

Hi LP. I check the site every day. Anxiously awaiting the expansion pack and already anticipating the next CW NSD game which I'm hoping will be __________.Hey AJ. Re: Favorites bar icon
Hey AJ once you have an icon you can download it to any computer. I also did what Davinci did. I have icons of the SOW game for all of my desktop icons pertaining to any thing with the Civil War.

From the Desktop Computer – just navigate to the NorbSoftDev \ ScourgeofWar – directory – and Copy the seven ICO icons to the Desktop. But what about on my laptop where GB isn't installed but I still view the NSD website. That's where the favorite's bar icon is generic.
Place them in a folder on the Desktop – Call it Icons – Use the WinRar Program – to zip it up.
Now – Send to yourself – using your Email provider. Yes – you can send mail to yourself !
Then open the Email with your Laptop and download them!
This is a guess – but place them somewhere where the location will stay the same.
Meaning – if you place the Icon Folder – on the desktop for the Laptop – and later move the Icon folder – you would probably lose the icon showing up. The Icon is stored using their exact location on the Computer.

Thanks again, Davinci and RD. It was just bugging me. As usual, I was overly concerned with the small details no one else probably notices. A side effect of the type of work I do, I guess.
