Question about troop formations

This is in this area because it is really a modding question and civil war question all at once, but I would like it to be easily seen.

For all you reenactors out there:

What drill book was most commonly used for formations in the civil war. McClellan's, according to wikipedia a while ago, was very popular, but everyone knows Hardee's manual as well. I would appreciate knowing which was most used because McClellan's formations (in terms of officer placement) and Hardee's are different.

Thanks

I always heard Hardee's and Casey's were the most used.

Depends on North or South, western or eastern armies, time-frame, etc. But, in general terms, Hardee for most.

McClellan had a manual on bayonet drill, not general army drill.
