Help with Scenario 20: To the Right

Does anyone have any tips to beat this scenario? The best I've been able to do is 5100 points. The problem is that you are so evenly matched, there's not much chance for offensive action. While I've never come close to being beaten in the battle, I just find it hard to get points.

Is there any way to get access to Wheaton's 2 hidden brigades? They would be the key to this.

Thanks,
BillF

I too had difficulty with this one.

I was finally able to achieve victory, by over whelming the forces in front of you then turning my attention to those on my right on top of LRT. I was then able to get enough points.
Defeating those in front of you was always pretty easy; I just didn’t know where to get more points. I then took a couple of brigades and attacked over LRT.

Hope this makes sense as I don’t have the game in front of me, and memory serves that this is the last scenario.

Taking the stone walls to the front is the most important task at the beginning. Then, you must move the brigade that is on the main Cemetary Ridge line to the stone walls near it. A battery at that location is also advisable. Move your other two batteries up close to your main line of troops. Insofar, you should have four brigades on the firing line: two east of the road that runs behind Cemetary Ridge along the fenceline that borders the farm path, one west of the road along the stonewall, and one on Cemetary Ridge near LRT. Next, you must move your remaining two brigades to Big Round Top, and put them in support, extending your line to the stonewalls in the valley to the east. Placing the regiments this far forward and in support of the Reserves is important, the roughly 2 divisions attack BRT, while only 2 divisions will attack the stonewalls. Finally, with your brigades in the far east, you must press the flank hard, move fast, and capture as many troops as possible. (Do remember to hold the VP as well). Do not let any units retreat, because they fall back so far from this advanced position that it is impossible to get them to reengage within a short amount of time.

If everything goes right, Pickett and Pettigrew should be demolished (both finished my game with no troops), and Hood and Trimble should be pretty well smashed the excess troops on BRT.
