So are you referring to units that are on the map that are not in your control, and how to request for them to help you? Just not exactly sure what you mean, can you go into a little more detail?

"are you referring to units that are on the map that are not in your control, and how to request for them to help you?" YES !
AND
If I loose some units can I replace them ?maybe with a new battalion or so (can I call for new units for my Regiment and or Battalion)? or do I have just a Battalion/Regiment and that's it with no reinforcements.Or do I get from time to time new units. I hope you will understand me now. sorry my English isn't very good.

Well as for the scenarios, it all depends on which one. In the 6th scenario, you have entire divisions arriving periodically throughout the scenario. But as far as a command to just call up additional troops, that's not possible. You can request Support via the Courier menu, but I've never actually seen that work (although some forum members claim that it does work)

LP, maybe this would be something to look into. If it is not set to work that way, wouldn`t you think that it should be? I mean, if they are close enough, and could change the course of the fight, wouldn`t it be in their favor to help? They are reserves to a degree, are they not?
Just something to ponder.

Yeah like I said, according to Norb the "Request Support" command in the courier screen is supposed to tell friendly units out of your control to come help you.. I've tried it a few times and it never seemed to work for me.. It needs more testing, and maybe some tweaking. I'll put it on the to do list.

Cool, thanks LP, you guys are the greatest. Not all game companies would do something like this for their customers.

You just don't display the proper attitude when requesting help.

You have to preface the request with, "Please execute the following orders." The AI will respond most of the time if 1. he is not heavily engaged himself. 2. You are truly in need of help. He makes that judgement call. 3. You do not have a sour disposition. Your forum name explains the lack of response from your peers.
He may take a while to respond, just like a human, but he will respond if all conditions are met. You are right though, we should have Norb take a look at the code and make sure it's working right.

My pleasure.
Couple things to note here with this. If the support command is made to work in scenarios, you have to keep in mind; what if you called a unit for support that is scripted to attack a certain area at a certain time like they did historically? Will they come to support you, then do as they are scripted later? Or would their future orders be canceled?
So we would have to do some careful planning before it's implemented as it could have some negative effects on scenarios.
But as far as Sandbox, it should be pretty straight forward. Normally on the big battles, some friendly AI forces will be held in reserve. It would be very cool if; you get trouble, send a courier to your superior commander requesting support, and he sends a brigade in to help you.
