Battle Sounds etc.

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Battle Sounds etc.

Post by CoB4thTEXAS »

Here are some battle sound files you may like.

Save or rename your NSD files!

Some files have NSD file names, the ones that dont rename to NSD file names and copy then paste to your SOWG/Base/Sounds folder.

Inf. marching with drums has not been tested.

The link is here..... https://sites.google.com/site/virtualpc ... sowgb-mods

The files are compressed with Winzip, http://www.mediafire.com/?pwpnodx6up7fta9

Also you might like this in your single-player games

Cool, I'll give this a spin as soon as I can. Been very busy with the new patch lately, but I'm always eager to try out a new mod. Thanks for posting. :)

Hi.

I like the sounds, but why copy these over to your Data base folder? Why not just create it as a mod. You have to remember Norb has made this game extremely easy to modify, so why copy over the originals?

Just a thought.

I agree, you can make a mod with this structure:

Mods/New Sounds/Sounds/ - place your sound files in the Sounds folder.

One could overwrite the stock files so they can have them in the Historical Scenarios, but that might mess up MP.

OOops, wrong area... Oh, BTW with my sound issue problem. When I installed these sounds, WOW! had to turn the volume down.

Hi Cleaburn.

Well, I normally only link the mods on my site to the links listed here, but in this case I decided to upload it to my server (website), so you can download from my site.

I have tried downloading it as a test, and you are correct the link for the file didn't work.

Go to my website: https://sites.google.com/site/virtualpc ... sowgb-mods

You can now download it from there, or until the author of the mod tells me not too, then I'll take it down.

Thanks Chamberlain for relaying my website, I really appreciate it. :)

Cheers, and sorry for the problem.

Later!
